Woman identified in fatal Overlea fire.

Officials have identified the woman killed in the February 5th fire as 74 year old Roberta S McFarland. The fire remains under investigation.

Feb. 6th. – Around 11:45 pm Thursday night fire crews responded to a report of a dwelling fire in the 4500 block of Kenwood Avenue. Crews quickly arrived and found heavy fire showing from a 2 story wood frame dwelling. Witnesses reported flames showing from all floors of the dwelling, including the attic space. 1 occupant was reported to be trapped and initial reports have stated the person may not have made it out of the home. We are working to bring you the latest on this developing story.


Update –
10:51 AM Feb. 6th.
A woman believed to be in her 70’s, was found deceased on the 3rd floor of the home. Police say she has not yet been identified. Her body has been taken to the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. The fire is under investigation.
