Student charged with bringing deadly weapons onto school property

Perry Hall – Police say that on February 5th a School Resource Officer for Perry Hall High School was notified about a threat involving a student possibly bringing a gun to the school.
The student was identified and found to have several knives in their possession.
They have been charged with bringing a deadly weapon on to school property and taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
Recent rumors on social media seem to be stemming from this incident.
In response, police say there will be an added police presence at the school. Investigators will also be monitoring social media. Anyone with questions may call the White Marsh Precinct at 410-887-5000.
Perry Hall High School in 2012, dealt with a situation where a student was shot by another on the first day of school, putting students, staff & parents on edge.

In Maryland (cases may vary), if found guilty of carrying a deadly weapon on school property – the student on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.
