Baltimore County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect they say is responsible for assaulting an 87 year old man in front of his home in Cockeysville.
Police say that on December 14th at approximately 7 a.m, the suspect went to the door of the victim’s home in the 12700 Block of Falls Rd. The suspect then told the victim that there was something wrong with his well and it needed to be checked. The victim, who presumably became suspicious, told the suspect that nothing is wrong with his well.
At this point, the suspect reached inside & pulled the victim to the ground.
Once the 87 year old victim was on the ground, the suspect got onto his back and tried putting his arm around the victim’s neck. The victim bit the mans hand just before a 60 year old woman who lived in the home came outside and punched the suspect in the head.
Officials say the suspect then got up and fled the scene. The victim only suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 20 to 30-years-old, 5’10”, 160 pounds, wearing a grey beany cap, black shirt, and black pants. He may be driving a light colored SUV.
Police have released photos believed to be the suspect that were captured on video surveillance at an area Royal Farms Store.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Precinct 3 Investigative Services Team at 410-887-6979.
